Our discussion focused on identifying audiences and goals for DO. We determined that audiences would be drawn to DO by ease of access, fun, and trustworthiness of the DO materials. We created a structure centered on the data base/library, where information is stored and accessible to the variety of audiences. Audiences must find the material in DO easy to access, to remix, and to contribute derived content into the library. The system should provide a way to organize content using open source tools.

DO must also be built with funding sources in mind. DO ideally will be funded by a combination of major and individual user contributers, and the system should be designed in a way that encourages both of these.
