We propose that any type of content regardless of its origin or location can be made available to DO by attaching tags, keywords, or otherwise exposing it via a technical mechanism. Once it is received, it can be verified against a technical standard of quality criteria (such as formats, technology, origin, creator, etc.) to become "DO-compatible". Following compatibility designation, the community can elevate the quality of the content through voting, traffic analysis, popularity, and contributor reputation.
