You need ENOUGH information for a great experience! It should represent the kinds of content that will be available later. For example, if the DO service will include user-generated content, then this should also be showcased.

THREE slices: young researchers/ educators/educatees/ enthusiasts

If there are multiple audiences/producer groups, then serve each of them (or a slice of them) with a great experience.

DOn't try to open up to everyone at first... do one part really well.

DO should find a way to gather/aggregate content from top existing sources... Activities are ALSO a feature of DO... so content may not be the key....

Some audiences: teachers looking for content/activities, students looking for fun stuff on their own, active publics (livelihood, ocean jobs (shipping), recreation, people living near the ocean, hobbiests/ enthusiasts (e.g., sailers), lifestyle people (surfers), Navy, Coast Guard,
