Should everything that DO Provides be FREE? How is DO sustained?

There are some services (Web 2.0) that can be free, but there needs to be a multiple prong funding effort: government funding for core infrastucture; private foundations for programs; and user fees for high-end services.

The services can run from hiRes stuff, content aggregation, t-shirts....

Branding management is important for DO and for partner/members

Services need to be keyed to content types.

Soem type of core membership needs to be developed, where members are the owners...

DO provides marketing of content, exposure, "authoritative source" labeling and cred, educational pump priming...

The members need to be owners of the system
